Community Engagement

Hayes Towers partners with first responders and local municipalities on several projects. One such example is the South Bend Fire Department Technical Rescue Team’s use of a Hayes Tower to carry out rescue exercises and simulations. Practicing these simulations on actual cell towers presents fire fighters with firsthand experience to help them maximize their response when an emergency arises.

The employees of Hayes Towers commit time and resources to several non-profit organizations such as our local food pantries, organizations committed to affordable housing, museums, and schools.

Nationwide, an average of 80% of 911 calls are made from cell phones which is just one reason that reliable cellular service is vital to our lives. The staff of Hayes Towers works to provide a robust cellular infrastructure system which helps keep all of us connected in times of need.

Our infrastructure also helps bridge the digital divide. Hayes Towers is proud to collaborate with the South Bend Community School Corporation and their groundbreaking private LTE network which brings free internet to hundreds of qualified students.
